Put the Spark Back in Schenectady!!

First of all, Sparky has no issues with the job the current Mayor is doing. In fact Sparky does not belong to any of the major political parties. He is a member of the Independent Cat Party. Without major party affiliation, Sparky will run completely on the write-in ballot.

With the elections for Mayor coming in November. Sparky wanted to get his name out there early. He knows he may not win, but he is determined to let the constituents of Schenectady know about the important issues. Issues like local leash laws, pooper-scooper laws, and general pet safety issues, like pet carrier side impact air bags. Did you know Sparky was a major player behind "Buster's Law"? While outside side the spotlight, Sparky got the issue passed with his cool and PURRR-sasive attitude.

For over 9 years, Sparky has been a resident of Schenectady. In fact he resides in the same residence that Chester Arthur, the 21st President of the United States, once lived (possibly with the President himself, in one of his nine lives).

Sad But True

Beloved Schenectady Mayoral Candidate, Sparky has moved on to the ?Great Catnip Farm Above?. While we will surely miss Sparky, his message of ?Putting the Spark Back in Schenectady? will live on.

Dear friend, Kathy Fitzmaurice, owner of the Katbird Shop has agreed to push on with his message of important pet safety issues as well increasing commerce within the local businesses. Her dedication to Schenectady will live on through her as it did through Sparky. Therefore, we would like to announce that Miss Fitzmaurice for Mayor, as write-in candidate. Again, Kathy has no problems with either candidate and is running on a platform as Sparky?s wishes.

Deer Friends,

We here at the 'Sparky for Mayor' campaign feel the Miss Kathy Fitzmaurice of the KatBird Shop, only a few doors down form the City Hall, in Downtown Schenectady, feel that she would make an outstanding and refreshing Mayor. Although, Miss Fitzmaurice does not feel this is the appropriate undertaking at this time. Instead she wishes to devote her time and efforts into her Downtown business.

This election, if you do not feel comfortable voting with either candidate, please show your support of local businesses by voting for Sparky (posthumously) or Miss Kathy Fitzmaurice for Mayor of Schenectady.

We thank you for your continued support and your patronage of local businesses and "Putting the Spark Back in Schenectady"!
